Identifying Gunshot Sounds in live audio

We worked with a US-based Researcher on this project. The goal was to take pictures and upload them to a server every time a gunshot sound was detected. We implemented this on a Raspberry Pi 4 mini-computer with a camera and microphone connected. Using Python, we developed an AI-driven software that constantly listened to the audio in the area and determined the probability of it being a gunshot. If the probability was found to be higher than a threshold, the camera would take a picture or video and upload it to a defined server URL.
