Using AI for Smart Security
This project added Machine Learning capabilities onto standard CCTV Video Streams. The goal of the project was to automatically gather more information about the activity detected in the Security Camera's frame. This was done by accessing the CCTV feed from a Raspberry Pi 4 and processing it there. It was installed along with a motion sensor. When the motion sensor detected activity, the Raspberry Pi captured the incoming video stream and processed it to extract more context like counting the number of people, identifying animals if any, finding other key objects like tools, vehicles and more. Such Smart Security projects could also potentially be used to identify what people in the feed are doing.
